The US International Development Finance Corporation had a record fiscal year ended September 30, 2023. They committed US$9.3 billion to support private sector development in emerging markets.
With the additional capital provided to DFC by the United States Government in 2019 DFC was encouraged to be ambitious with its deployment. In late 2023 DFC announced total commitments exceeding US$ 40 Bn. Under the 2019 BUILD Act the investment cap was set at US$ 60 Bn.
